A Letter to All MRS Alumni

Dear Alumni Families of Mountain Road School,

Greetings from the Alumni Association. We are parents of MRS alums – our kids range in age from 11 to 26! Our goal is simple, our motive, partly selfish: to create a way for alumni and families to stay in contact with each other and MRS, while strengthening and advancing the school’s mission.

As we’ve watched our well-prepared children make the transition from Mountain Road to other schools and into the world beyond, we feel a deep sense of gratitude for the “heartfelt education” and values the school instilled, and for the connections that will last a life-time. These values are stronger than ever at Mountain Road, which is why we, as alumni families, can so easily do our part to support its mission.

No matter what your role or past personal experiences, at some point the values of a spiritual community and respect for the earth and her diverse inhabitants brought you to MRS, as it did for each of us. For 32 years Mountain Road has offered children and their families an opportunity to be involved in a very special community of people. Now we are the Alumni Family and together we can still make a difference in children’s lives and in the world.

But we need your help. Though the school has a database, over the years we have lost track of many people. Please send us an email  to info@mountainroadschool.org, and let us know how you are doing, what you are doing and your current contact information!  Put “Alumni Association” in the subject line.

Once we know how to reach you, our plan is to send a periodic e-newsletter. It will contain information on upcoming celebrations and events (which we encourage you to attend), keep you updated on the growth of Mountain Road School, and let you know about the achievements of MRS Alumni. And of course, no respectable Alumni Association would be doing its job without asking for a donation every now and then.

Thank you for your participation and interest. Mountain Road School is still a very special place where magic and learning go hand in hand.
