Admission Process

Investigating leaves k-1Mountain Road School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, disability, religion, national or ethnic origin. First priority is given to returning students. However, because of the commitment to small class sizes, it is not always possible to guarantee places to students who wish to return. In general, those who make firm their commitment to return to Mountain Road earliest will be given first placement. We ask for a commitment from parents and a deposit by March 1st to hold a place for the following school year. Financial assistance is available based on need.

New students may be admitted at any time during the school year, though it is preferable for students to be enrolled in September. Preschool students need to be three years old and toilet trained though age exceptions for children close to three may be granted at the discretion of the Director. Preschoolers turning three in the fall/winter are occasionally added mid-year.

Prospective parents are asked to contact the school at 518.794.8520 or e-mail info@mountainroadschool.org with requests for information and to set up a tour of the school. Financial assistance information will also be included upon request. Prospective families are invited to our Open House which is regularly held in March, and at our community events. Applications are accepted at any time and children are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis according to availability and class configurations. Applications are available both on-line or via mail.  A one-time $30 application fee and $70 enrollment fee(upon acceptance) are required.
