Mountain Road School is located on the New York/Massachusetts border in the town of New Lebanon. We are ideally situated 15 minutes from Richmond, MA and Stephentown, NY, 20 minutes from downtown Pittsfield, MA and Chatham, NY, and 30 minutes from Great Barrington, MA and Hillsdale, NY. We have busing available from New Lebanon, Chatham, Berlin, Averill Park and East Greenbush school districts. Carpools are available for Taconic Hills and Massachusetts residents.
From the North:
Take Interstate 87 South (New York Thruway) to Interstate 90 East through Albany. Get off at the Exit 11E, and take Rte. 20 East towards Pittsfield, MA. After passing through the town of New Lebanon, continue on Rte. 20 East for approximately one mile, to the Darrow School/Mountain Road School sign on the right. Turn right onto Darrow Road and proceed past the Darrow School. Continue on till you see Chairfactory Road. Mountain Road School Parking Lot will be your next left. The school is located up the path on the 2nd & 3rd floors of the Fatah Building #12. Our school sign is out front
From the South/NYC/NJ/Eastern PA:
Option #1
Take Interstate 87 North (New York Thruway) to Interstate 90 East (Berkshire connector). Get off at Exit B3, which is Rte. 22 North. At this point, follow the directions for Rte. 22 below.
Option #2:
Take Interstate 84 West to the Taconic Parkway. Proceed North on the Taconic Parkway and get off an Exit 295 East. Go 8 miles east on Rte. 295 to the traffic light which is the intersection of Routes 295 and 22. Turn left onto Rte. 22 North and follow the directions for Rte. 22 below.
From the West:
Take Interstate 90 East. Get off at Exit 11E and take Rte. 20 East towards Pittsfield, MA. Proceed on Rte. 22 North until you reach the intersection of Routes 22 and 20. Turn right onto Rte. 20 and take Rte. 20 East toward Pittsfield, MA.
