Welcome to Mountain Road School.  Since 1975 we have been leading the way for children in grades Pre-K-8 with innovative multi-age classrooms, a visionary nature-based curriculum, and a nurturing child-centered  philosophy.

Enrollment for the 2012-13 school year is underway.  Please visit our Admissions Page for information, forms, and deadlines.  Free busing from New Lebanon, Chatham, Berlin, and Averill Park school districts.  Depending on your location, bus service from Ichabod Crane may be available.

When classes resume next September, we expect to be welcoming students to a new school.  In June 2012, Mountain Road School will be leaving its long time home at the Abode of the Message and moving to its own campus on the western edge of New Lebanon.  During the spring and summer, an historic building that has been vacant for years will be renovated and returned to the community as the school’s new home.

This new location brings us closer to Chatham, Hudson, Kinderhook, Averil Park, making it easier for families from these communities to get bus service.   The school will also inaugurate a new Middle School program for 7th and 8th graders, making it possible for a child to attend from preschool till they are ready to enter high school.

To help make these exciting changes possible, the school is launching its first ever Legacy Campaign. With a total project budget of just under a half million, this three year fundraising effort will raise $120,000 towards that goal.  Phase 1 begins on April 1 (no joke).  To make a contribution, please click below.
